AI Agents Need Field Memory

AI agents will help small businesses, but field service needs the input layer first: a consent-first ear that turns jobsite voice into searchable work memory.

At $35 an hour, ten minutes of trying to reconstruct a job costs $5.83. Not because the math is scary. Because the memory is already worse than it was when the technician was standing at the unit, listening to the customer explain the rattle in their own words.

You know this moment. A customer calls back about a system your team touched last week, and the work order says, “checked noise, advised monitor.” The tech remembers a basement, maybe a dog, maybe a loose panel. But the useful detail is gone.
